游戏设定《狙击精英V2》的续篇《狙击精英3》中，卡尔.费尔伯恩来到了非洲荒漠。许多人表示希特勒1945年在德国柏林地堡**，也有传言说他此前到往北非被狙杀，游戏的预订任务"猎杀灰狼"将让你狙杀希特勒。

剧情主要是卡尔到达北非德军的驻地找寻关于"瘟疫计画"的一系列线索，*后到达鼠式坦克工厂摧毁坦克，**计画的始作俑者瓦伦将军。玩家可以在游戏中通过收集**与战争笔记等方式解锁相应成就。

角色设定与上一代《狙击精英V2》相比，玩家的自由度有明显提升，如角色可以在敌人毫无察觉的情况下刺杀他们等。《狙击精英3》中除了主角卡尔.费尔伯恩之外，增添了许多新的角色。如告密者普罗德，北非德军统帅瓦伦等。人物的设定改成了夏季常服，制服的颜色也由原来的灰色变成了深绿色与褐色。

游戏评价狙击精英系列一直都是作为射击类的高端游戏而著称，游戏中的音效当然不能放下了，不管是战场上的枪声还是各种各样的惨叫声，都十分的逼真。不得不承认游戏虽然说自由度很高，但是剧情却十分的单调，没什么跌宕起伏的地方，只是单调的服从任务而已，实在是缺少像使命召唤那样战场上的热血之情，希望制作组能在接下来的系列中能满足吧。3代在2代的基础上进行了不少改进，虽然有着各种各样的BUG和不足，但暇不掩玉。对于狙击精英系列的爱好者和老玩家，游戏是值得一玩的。(游侠网评)
